Product Introduction
A pillow block bearing (or plumber block) is a base that provides support for a rotating shaft with the help of compatible bearings and various accessories. The assembly consists of a mounting block to place the bearing. The blocks are mounted on the base and inserted into the shaft to rotate the inside of the bearing/shaft. The inside of the bearing is usually 0.001 inch (0.025 mm) larger than the shaft to ensure a tight fit. Setting screws, locking collars, or retaining collars are commonly used to secure shafts.
